Chocolate chip cookie
This is basically Alton Brown’s “The Chewy”. This adjusted recipe freezes 4-5 cookie portions, because these cookies are the best fresh out of the oven.
Ingredients:
2 sticks of unsalted butter
2-1/4 cup all purpose flour
1 tsp salt
1 tsp baking soda
1/4 cup sugar
1-1/4 cup brown sugar
1 large egg
1 large egg yolk
2 tbsp milk
2 tsp vanilla extract
2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
The recipe:
1. Melt butter in microwave, set aside.
2. Sift flower, salt, and baking soda into a bowl.
3. Add melted butter in the stand mixer, add sugars and mix for 2 minutes.
4. Add egg, egg yolk, milk, and vanilla to the mixer until combined.
5. Slowly add the dry ingredients until combined.
6. Add chocolate chips and stir until distributed.
7. Divide up the cookie dough into single cookie scoops, and freeze 4-5 cookies in freezer-safe boxes.
8. Heat oven to 375F.
9. Bake a container of 4-5 cookies for 15 minutes.
10. Let cool for at least 5 minutes before eating.
Enjoy!
